The blessed season of Easter just passed by and I hope we all seized the opportunity to renew and revive the love we have for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We often get too preoccupied with the demands of this life that we sometimes tend to forget the reason why we are here and the race we are on.
So I’m grateful for every Easter because it reminds me of the perfect sacrifice done for me at Calvary.
I am reminded that I am alive today because Christ took my place in death;
I am healthy today because He bore the stripes of illness for me;
I am blessed because He took on the curse upon His head;
He was rejected by God so I would be received by Him.
What kind of love is this and what did we do to deserve it? Absolutely nothing! It is just because God’s grace and mercies abound so much that you and I could be counted worthy of God’s love and salvation.
Easter may have passed but the impact of the season should never stop burning in our hearts. As Christ was buried, let us bury everything that taints us as the redeemed of the Lord and as He was raised, let us rise filled with the power of God all fired up to do mighty exploits for His glory.
After all, we are “His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”-Ephesians 2:10 (KJV).
Have a blessed week all…
