“There was an ‘old’ you, then something extraordinary happened,” Milton says. “You sensed the ‘old’ things had passed away, and suddenly there was a “new” you. Indeed, because of Christ’s resurrection and life, all things are being made new, including your destination in life. The challenge, at least from a human perspective, is how to proceed on this new life’s journey?”
Milton addresses that question in Journey of a Lifetime with a message that is about taking the hand of the One who saved you, by faith, and following Him exactly the way He has prescribed.

The book, Milton says, is not a human author’s ideas about how to follow God. Instead, he says, “it is the unfolding of a divine travel map from Another World, helping you to get through this one to safely arrive at home.”
“This really is a book that people can give to others, either to help people understand the Christian faith or to a new believer,” Milton says. “In the first part of the book, I tell my own story–the story of one sinner saved by faith–which embodies the whole journey.”
Respected theologian Dr. George Grant, senior minister of Parish Presbyterian Church in Franklin, Tenn., author, and director of the King’s Meadow Study Center, has endorsed the new book.
“Across many years and many miles, I have witnessed the journeying of Mike Milton,” Grant says. “He has navigated the twisted trails and the rocky shoals with an extraordinary faithfulness–a faithfulness that can only be attributed to the fact that he has followed close by the Master who has led with abounding grace, steadfast love, and good providence. The retelling of this story, his journey, has deeply encouraged me–and I am sure, it will deeply encourage you as well.”

The multi-talented pastor, author and musician has received rave reviews for his current CD, Through the Open Door. Christianitytoday.com, who has compared Milton to Neil Young, Steve Curtis Chapman and Dan Fogelberg, calls the music, “musically opulent and emotionally stirring.”
Milton has released four CDs, 18 books and writes for numerous popular and scholarly periodicals. He is a faculty member of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute and a contributing writer for The Center for Vision and Values. He was appointed to the College of Military Preachers, serves as a Chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserve and is an instructor at the Armed Forces Chaplain School. But anyone who has listened to his music can attest that “stuffy” is not a word that is found in his vocabulary. Much like his friend and sometimes musical collaborator, legendary Christian singer/songwriter Michael Card (“El Shaddai”), Milton has an uncanny ability to unpack complex theological concepts into everyday language that makes them both memorable and accessible.
In addition to Journey of A Lifetime, Milton’s recent book releases include Silent No More from Tanglewood Publishing in the U.S. and Evangelical Press in the U.K., Songs in the Night: How God Transforms Our Pain to Praise from P&R Publishing Co., Sounding the Depths from EP Press, and the third edition of What God Starts, God Completes: Help and Hope for Hurting People from Christian Focus Publications.
