Track: The Lord Is My Shepherd
Album: Somebody – Must Be The Lord
“The Lord is my shepherd on Him I lean, He maketh me to lie down in pastures green. By still waters He leads me, bread of heaven He feeds me; for the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want.”
Lois Snead’s rendition of the timeless Psalm 23, “The Lord Is My Shepherd”, is found on her 1999 album Somebody – Must Be The Lord.
Is the enemy oppressing you?
Are you walking through the valley right now?
Is evil encamping around you?
Fear no evil as you wake up to each new day you’ve been given and know that with your trust in the Lord, goodness and mercy will surely follow you all the days of your life.
I have personally found comfort in the words of Psalm 23 and, despite the past couple of weeks at times feeling like a roller coaster, I know that the Lord is my shepherd; He is with me through every trial and His rod and His staff do comfort me.
I pray that when the time comes, you too can find comfort in the words that David wrote.
Let the Lord lead you and let Him take care of you.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23, KJV)
