Last night, singer/songwriter and worship leader Ian Zumback launched an IndieGoGo campaign with a difference. Primarily the campaign is to raise the money needed to fund his new worship album, which is set to be released this Spring, but any money raised over the goal will be donated to the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders in Denver, Colorado. Ian has set a funding goal of $8,000 to be reached by 10th March to make the album happen, but he is really aiming for much more than that so he, and you, can help save someone’s life. The campaign so far has only raised $28 so, if you want to help him raise the rest of the necessary funds to make this album happen, and hopefully enough to save someone’s life as well, you can head on over to the campaign page embedded below and back/pre-order his new album.
In the campaign video, Ian shares a bit about what your backing will do, “your partnership will not only support our ability to record songs that focus on themes of hope, themes of comfort, themes of restoration and redemption, but your partnership could be used to touch and even save a life.”
Ian also shares about the impact you could make on someone’s life, “Please just take a look at the pictures of my wife again. There are 11 million people suffering from eating disorders in the US. It’s not just adolescents and teenagers. It’s women, men, and elderly. We saw it directly for ourselves. And of those 11 million people, there’s countless other spouses, parents, children, and friends that are affected. Please help me meet and exceed our goal so that we can bring help and comfort into the lives of others through inspirational means of music and practical means through patient treatment at ACUTE.”
To find out more about the album, the campaign, the story behind the reason why any money over the goal will be donated to ACUTE, and to watch the campaign video, please head on over to the campaign page embedded below.
Ian is set to head into the studio in March with producer Daniel Ornellas, formerly of the band Tree63, who recently shared a little about Ian Zumback and the record.
As well as backing the project, be sure to spread the word about this campaign to all of your friends by sharing this article through all of your social networks.
