Independence is “Good” for Dave Barnes

Dave Barnes wants us all to know that he’s officially independent. He says that being on his own again and not being signed to a label means that he can release as much music whenever he wants. And Barnes wants to release a lot more music. In fact, he says that his new motto is, “Dave Barnes. More Music, More Frequently.”

To back up that claim, Barnes has released a new single, “Good,” which will be hitting radio in the next few weeks. “Good” will be featured on his new album, Golden Days, releasing on January 28, 2014, but the single is available for purchase on iTunes now!

But there’s more! Barnes has a new Christmas album, A December to Remember, releasing October 29th! Says Barnes, “I’m SO excited about it. I co-produced the album with Brown Bannister, the genius behind some of the best albums/Christmas albums EVER [Amy Grant].” The album includes six original songs that Barnes wrote and five cover songs. He’ll be doing a Christmas show in Nashville on December 14th, and there are more tour dates listed on his website.

Barnes says that everyone needs to pay close attention to emails and Tweets because he might have some other surprises here and there. You can sign up for Barnes’ e-mail updates, follow him on Twitter,  and like him on Facebook. You can also keep up with his videos on his Youtube channel, where you can enjoy the video posted below of Barnes singing the song he wrote that became a number one hit for Blake Shelton, “God Gave Me You.”
