While the band continues to work on new material after signing with Voluminous Records, Christian Alternative Metal band Fades Away has placed a free track from their last full-length album Perceptions up on NoiseTrade with an added bonus – a “teaser” version of their latest single “Creature” (currently available for sales on iTunes, AmazonMP3 and many other fine digital retail outlets).
The band will be releasing a second single in coming months as the record label determines the game plan for releasing new material going forward. Inside sources reveal the label is considering a bold new approach toward releasing new material from particular bands on the label. We can’t wait to hear the full details on how they plan to approach the release of additional content. The inside source at the label also revealed that the band just completed a photo shoot with its new lineup.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Fades Away, the band has traditionally been on the road full-time, and has opened for wildly successful bands like Thousand Foot Krutch, Project 86, Fireflight and others. Their relentless touring has afforded them the opportunity to play in front of massive crowds and, as a result, they’ve developed an increasingly large and highly dedicated fan base. The members of Fades Away have found that the ability to share life experiences and beliefs through the music provides the connection and approachability the fans have come to know and love.
After Perceptions, the band experienced a lineup change as guitarists Jonathan Sutton and John Laing departed the band to pursue other interests. New guitarist Brett Verlennich recently joined the lineup of Dave Erickson (vocals), Steve Daniels (bass) and Matt Mahlen (drums) in place of the now departed guitar duo.
