Victizzle Encourages Us To “Let Go”

Last week, Victor Akata, known by his stage name of Victizzle, released his brand new music video for his new single “Let Go” featuring Seyi. The 22-year-old MOBO award-winning artist brings us a track packed with hard hitting lyrics, a great message, an addictive beat and an even more addictive chorus sung by Seyi. The video, directed by The June Brothers (@MrDYeboah & @MrWalker), is remarkably simple but is exactly what was needed and accompanies the summer vibes track down to an absolute tee. Say hello to your summer anthem…

“Let Go” encourages us to let go of our worries and anxieties and hand them over to our incredible God above and reminds us of verses such as 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxiety on him because He cares for you” and Psalm 55:22, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.” Although it doesn’t seem like it at times, God never gives us more than we can handle and the extremely catchy, encouraging hook sums this up beautifully, “What we go through, is for the moment, you gotta stand back, see the bigger picture, you can get through this, the storm will soon be over, there’s so much more than what’s in front of you, so let go, ‘coz life is just so beautiful, so let go, there’s no need to struggle no more, let go/you’re gonna make it”.

The single is being released on iTunes July 31st and is off his forthcoming, highly anticipated sophomore album which drops September 8th. We will post the link to the single on the day so be sure to check back then. (July 31st Update: As of today, you can now purchase it here!
