Track: Praise Is What I Do
Album: All Day

It’s easy to get overwhelmed when we think about the amount of things we have going on in our lives.
It’s easy to sometimes look at our problems and frown. It’s also often easier to tell God how big our problems are. But how about telling your problems how big your God is?!
How about praising God in all circumstances?
How about looking your situation in the face and saying, “praise is what I do!”

As I type this I’m thinking about my car. I took it to the local garage recently after I heard a strange sound coming from under the bonnet. My car’s been running perfectly since I got her and so to be faced with a potentially major problem at the time was quite daunting. But instead of worrying about the money to pay for repairs or dwelling on the extra money I’d need to spend on public transport, I found myself praising God.
All I could do was praise Him that this happened at home rather than when I was away. I praised Him that nothing went horribly wrong whilst I was driving. All I could do, and can do, is praise.
“Praise the Lord, my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God” (Psalm 146:1-2,5).

Praise is what I do, when I want to be close to You. I lift my hands in praise.
Praise is who I am, I will praise Him while I can. I’ll bless Him at all times.
I vow to praise You,
Through the good and the bad.
I’ll praise You,
Whether happy or sad.
I’ll praise You,
In all that I go through.
Because praise is what I do,
Cause I owe it all to You.

Let praise be what you do in the good and the bad and may these words stay with you as you face the following week.
Blessings to you.
