Artist: William McDowell
Track: My Desire
Album: Arise

By William McDowell, “My Desire” has the power to bring you to that place where you can just be; to that place where you’re able to dwell in the Lord’s presence. It’s hard not to reflect and enjoy the serenity of this song because it speaks on so many levels.

“My desire is to see a move of God; a move in me. My desire is to do all the things He’s showing me.”

God is all I have in heaven; He is all I desire. He is my strength and my portion despite my failings along the way (Psalm 73:25-26).
I personally can’t help but rejoice as I receive the truth William McDowell is giving me because, “my desire is to see a move of God” and “a move in me.”As I’m “waiting” and “anticipating,” I want to create a place releasing faith; I want to see the power of God manifest in my life. It doesn’t matter what I’ve been through or what I’m going through now because through faith, my desire will come to pass.
It doesn’t even matter that I wasn’t the one to put pen to paper and write these words because I can identify with them. You can identify. These words are the truth. These words are powerful.

William McDowell has delivered a story that is relatable to many Christians through “My Desire.” It’s a beautiful song and we’re reminded that we are to love the Lord with all of our heart, with all of our soul and with all of our mind (Matthew 22:37).
Let us wait upon the Lord as He prepares us to do the things He’s showing us to do.
As “we come with our hearts wide open,” let us continue to set our affection on things above and not on things of the earth (Colossians 3:2). Let our focus be on those things which are eternal (2Corinthians 4:18).

Close your eyes, put this song on loop and connect with the Lord.
Let Him speak to you.

Be prepared to hear.
Be prepared to do.
