Album:Introducing DeWayne Woods & When Singers Meet

‘My friend handed me a tall glass of water and told me to hold it. The longer I held it, the heavier it felt. Finally my hand grew tired, and I had to put the glass down. “I’ve learned that worry can be like holding that glass,” she said. “The longer I worry about something, the more my fears weigh me down” … There are plenty of worries that can weigh us down. But as we release them into God’s strong hands, He will help us through our trials.’

I read this earlier this week and wanted to share it with you.

It doesn’t matter what is weighing you down at this particular moment. Just give it to God.

Let it go and let Him take control for 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast our burdens on Him for He cares for us.

You don’t have to worry and you certainly don’t have to hold on to it for so long that you’re weighed down. Holding onto worry only wastes time and distracts you from what’s really important; God’s promises.

Cast your burdens on Him. Let Him carry the load. Give yourself a break. Don’t let the worry weigh you down any more.

Let go and let God have His way because it’s not your battle to fight. Know that if you place it into His hands that everything will be alright.

Now is the time to put the glass down.
