In August of this year, the independent Wisconsin based rock band In The Verse burst onto the Christian rock scene with their stunning debut single “Disaster.” The single has been well received by fans and has been steadily climbing multiple charts ever since, including recently reaching #1 on christianrock.net. The single’s message is, as the band explains, “a plain and simple message that God is our strength and stronghold no matter what life or anyone tries to throw at us. We will all go through hardships and toils in this life but if we focus on Him we will become stronger from each and every one of them and learn ways to overcome through the grace of our God. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phillipians 4:13“
Born in June 2013, In The Verse is a three-piece Christian Hard/Heavy Rock band based out of Milwaukee, WI and is comprised of Noah Hulbert (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Chris Cerfus (Keys/Vocals) and Dave Hanson (Guitars/Vocals). Their mission, as their bio states, “is to bring the message of Christ back into the lime-light with uncompromising, deep lyrical content while maintaining a rich musical experience. We want to speak directly to the lost, broken-hearted, hurting, depressed and suicidal and let them know there is a Hope worth living for that gives purpose, meaning, fulfillment and wisdom. The same hope that we live and breathe for.“
5 days ago, In The Verse launched a Go Fund Me campaign to raise the funds needed to record and release their next project, an EP. The band outline their campaign aims in the campaign description, “We are looking to record our follow up single called Hosatge & Potentially another song called Afterlife within this project run. We need your help to make this happen. We are looking to raise 5,000.00 for this project. If fully funded, we can record both songs.”
So far, $245 of the $5000 goal has been raised so, if you’re able to help out, please head on over to the campaign page and help In The Verse raise the funds needed to fund the recording of “Hostage” and potentially “Afterlife” as well. There are a number of backer levels, with a variety of rewards, so whether you can only afford the $5 dollar option, or if you can afford one of the more expensive options, there’s a backer level for you, and something in it for you as well. Even if you can’t afford to help out, be sure to help In The Verse out by sharing this article/the campaign/the lyric video for “Disaster” below with all of your friends. Also be sure to “Get Plugged In!” to both our social media links below and In The Verse’s ones too, to stay up to date with the campaign’s progress and what the band is up to.
