Glad to meet you again and welcome to a new month – the month of salvation, grace and joyful news where we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. All blessings and thanks be to God, who has watched over us since the beginning of the year up until this day and, by His grace, we’ll enter into the coming New Year.

This week’s text is from Romans 8:28 which says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (KJV).

Life has proven to be the most unpredictable thing on earth. We love to be in charge of our lives; make sure our houses, cars and health care are insured; plan our life schedules – when to start work and retire, when to start a family and maybe change career paths. But we sometimes forget that life has its own plans for us. It can change our directions to a particular destination or alter our course in life altogether, but, with God in the boat with us, we can boldly smile at the storm.

“There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand” Proverbs 19:21 (KJV).

It is good to plan but it is always wise to seek the will of God in every situation. Not everything will go as planned but always be thankful that you made it through and also keep in mind that He is in control. And as long as He is, everything that happens on the way, be it good or bad, is working according to His plan so let Him take over the wheel and stay in the back seat and put on your seat belt so you don’t fall over when you hit a bump.

He who has called you is faithful, so trust Him to be with you. We may not hear pleasant news every day but He is still God. He knows where you’re headed and He knows the best way to take you there.

Until we  meet again next week, stay blessed!Microsoft Word - Document1
